Amazon vs. Apple A Story Told In Charts

I like charts. Technical charts I like, but what I really like looking at is charts that visualize the fundamentals of a company. So here is a comparison of Amazon and Apple, this is interesting.

First, the stock price. I almost hate to put this up but we all need to see it. (I may have been burned by Apple a few times...)

So we see that over the past almost year. Apple is down 30% while Amazon is up 23%. Next here is the PE  (Trailing 12 months) ratio of Apple and Amazon. I used percentage change because if I didn't show it as a percentage you literally couldn't see the chart.

Amazon's PE ratio has gone up 1,740 % over the last 12 months. Here's is the regular PE ratio, not shown as a percentage.

Apple's PE ratio is 9.5 while Amazon's is, well really, really high.

Enjoy! Also I am long Amazon right now. It's not an investment, but it is a trade.
